Emily is a fourth year vet student at the University of Sydney. For the last three years she’s been hard at work learning the theory of being a veterinarian, but this year she’s getting hands-on. A vegetarian and a life time animal lover, the pressure of being a Vet is something Emily is becoming well acquainted with. With an animal’s life in your hands, surgery is no walk in the park. Emily recounts her first experiences in the Vet surgery, and the responsibility she felt to the animal she was operating on.
